How it all started: A New Era for Women’s Motorcycle Gear

Hi, I’m Linda-Jean Belvedere, a biker for almost 20 years and the founder of Linda-Jean Women’s Motorcycle Fashion.

Like many female riders, I struggled to find motorcycle gear that truly fits. Most options available are either:

• Shrunken versions of men’s gear, ignoring women’s body shapes.
• Poorly designed afterthoughts, lacking functionality and comfort.

It all clicked when my mother decided to take her bike test. Since we wear the same size in casual clothing, I offered her one of my jackets to start with. But instead of a good fit, she looked like a squeezed sausage (sorry, Mum! 😅). That moment made me realise:

👉 Women’s motorcycle gear needs to change.

Motorcycling is about freedom, confidence, and adventure.
But why should women have to settle for:

• Uncomfortable gear that restricts movement?
• Unflattering designs that don’t fit properly?
• Limited options that lack elegance and functionality?

That’s why, in May 2024, I founded Linda-Jean Women’s Motorcycle Fashion—a brand dedicated to designing gear that:

• Prioritises women’s fit
• Offers smart, multifunctional features
• Combines quality with a touch of elegance

• First prototype completed
• Second prototype in development
